Business context


Our partner, Polku Innovations, is a well-known tech company specializing in built environment digitalization, IoT, and cloud solutions. They also own a scalable 3D visualization platform for buildings’ digital twins – Twinly

This solution was highly evaluated by the primary audience — real estate companies, property management agencies, and property experts, as well as property owners and building managers. We empowered them with complex real-time deep analytics that allowed them to cut costs and boost sales.

Furthermore, Geniusee collaborated with Polku in the development of Twinly, a scalable platform for building digital twins in 3D that utilizes our proprietary deep technology and the power of the IFC standard. A single, easy-to-use, mobile-first interface aggregates building data from multiple data sources using IoT solutions.

Solutions we implemented


Geniusee usually starts working with a client from a discovery phase, yet, here, we skipped this part as Polku and Twinly team already knew what they needed and had a platform that needed redesign and upgrades. We developed proactive collaboration with the client, offering solutions and improvements based on our expertise, market, user, and competitors’ research.

Project management

As a part of our continuous delivery process, we actively track documents, such as stakeholders’ registers and communication plans, a risk list we follow with clients, and the roadmap. The client’s CTO stepped in as a business analyst, supporting the development lifecycle and defining requirements. Metrics also track sprint releases, team performance, quality assurance, and finances.

Design

We started with a system redesign. The previous client’s design was built on the AntDesign framework but was a bit outdated. We updated a system interface without migrating to other frameworks or solutions, and based the development of the whole dashboard on AntDesign. We used many tools and complex solutions based on open source to align with the client’s system.

Full-stack development

We tailored both the frontend and backend of the web application for smart buildings based on IoT technology. We also delivered a complete logic of the system. We built a vast range of new features and functions to extend the system’s possibilities according to the client’s CTO requirements, such as, e.g., the recording function to create data reports and analysis. We also supported the whole system and assured its scalability.

DevOps engineering

We tailored and configured a data pipeline to make it easier to use IoT. Geniusee’s team also delivered a configuration of Google Cloud settings for the frontend and backend. We also aligned it with different data centers. Our DevOps engineers provided a complete documentation package for the deployment and installation of the delivered data pipeline.
