Business context

Our client reached out to us with the inquiry to develop a complex CRM software system for modern investors to manage their deals, providing them with a centralized platform to efficiently manage contacts, notes, and meetings.
Our goal was to create a deal flow platform that would meet the needs of modern investors, with powerful search capabilities across companies, people, and deals.

Challenges

Efficient deal flow management: comfortable working with deal records to get all necessary details

Tracking contacts and all related information to them

The ability to quickly find information about a company that would be interesting to invest in

Native API integrations with leading platforms

Secure space for all organizational data to work with

Building and operating a cloud-native platform that could scale quickly while being cost-effective and maintaining high security standards required for financial services data and cost

Solutions we implemented

AWS managed services

We designed a secure, scalable multi-account cloud architecture that would support rapid growth while ensuring compliance with financial services regulations. This pre-implementation phase included detailed architecture planning, security assessment, and cost optimization analysis to ensure the solution would meet ListAlpha’s scalability and compliance needs.

Project administration

Our project manager ensured that development stayed on schedule and within budget. The manager defined project scopes, created timelines, and coordinated the internal team. Daily stand-up meetings kept all stakeholders aligned on priorities, risks, and next steps.

Full-stack development

Our engineering team builds ListAlpha using a modern tech stack including Angular, Node.js, and MongoDB. We leveraged agile methodologies like daily stand-ups, sprints, and retrospectives to efficiently develop new features. Continuous integration and deployment enabled us to frequently release updates and make improvements based on user feedback.

Quality assurance

Rigorous quality assurance testing was performed at each stage of development to detect any issues prior to release. Our dedicated QA team conducted both manual and automated tests to ensure maximum functionality, security, and uptime. Attentive testing guaranteed that ListAlpha could scale to meet demand from thousands of concurrent users.

Quality assurance

As word of ListAlpha’s abilities spread, the volume of users and data grew rapidly. Our team worked diligently to build a system with the capacity to handle large amounts of data without sacrificing speed or accuracy. Load balancers, caching, and horizontal scaling are just a few of the techniques we employed to support demand at peak times. Our DevOps team employed advanced monitoring tools and practices to assess system health and user experience. During periods of high demand, they seamlessly scaled resources to ensure that users remain uninterrupted.

After final testing, ListAlpha, a CRM for investors, was officially launched. We onboarded initial customers and continued to make enhancements based on their feedback and usage data. With proven success and market fit, ListAlpha was made available as a SaaS solution to investors’ funds around the world.
