About the client

Validify is a UK-based retail technology intelligence platform that helps retailers discover, evaluate, and select the right technology vendors. Their goal is to simplify procurement through a centralized, transparent system enriched with peer reviews, curated vendor data, and structured selection processes.

Geniusee was brought in to design, architect, and develop the platform from scratch, creating the backend, frontend, database infrastructure, UX/UI design, and the ongoing evolution of the product over several years.

Business context

Retailers face a growing challenge in selecting the right technologies from an increasingly crowded vendor landscape. Validify aimed to solve this by offering:

  • A curated database of B2B retail technology solutions
  • A structured RFI process to replace offline spreadsheets and emails
  • Peer feedback and vendor performance insights
  • Multi-role support for enterprise teams
  • A transparent, low-pressure vendor evaluation environment

Geniusee was tasked with architecting an end-to-end platform that simplifies vendor discovery, improves decision-making, and automates large portions of the technology selection workflow.

Handling sophisticated data-fetching and multi-criteria filtering

Supporting multiple user roles with unique permissions and workflows

Maintaining high usability despite advanced features and data density

Solutions we implemented

SCRUM-driven development process

We adopted the SCRUM framework to break the project into iterative sprints, enabling structured progress, ongoing stakeholder validation, and rapid adaptation to evolving requirements. This approach was essential for managing a feature-rich platform with long-term development cycles.

Long-term partnership and continuous enhancement

Our cooperation extended well beyond the first release, evolving into a multi-year partnership. We continued delivering new features, improvements, and optimizations as Validify scaled its user base and expanded platform capabilities.

Advanced database design and data quality management

We engineered a robust and scalable database architecture capable of storing detailed vendor profiles, RFI data, team collaboration assets, and complex search parameters. Rigorous data-quality practices ensured accurate, trustworthy information for enterprise users.

UX/UI design centered on clarity and ease-of-use

Our designers created a clean, intuitive interface that makes navigating complex datasets simple for both retailers and vendors. User research, iterative testing, and feedback loops shaped an experience focused on clarity, comparison, and effortless decision-making.
