Requirements:


Experience & Scope:
● 7+ years of managerial experience in a service-based software development company.
● 2+ years of P&L ownership for a business unit or major portfolio.
● Experience managing 50+ FTE across 3+ concurrent projects.
● Experience leading and developing a team of 3+ Project Managers.

Delivery & Commercial Management:
● Proven hands-on experience managing multiple engagement models: Fixed Price, Time & Material, Dedicated Team, SLA.
● Full lifecycle ownership: presale → contracting → delivery → closure.
● Strong budgeting, EVM, and cost control skills.
● Experience participating in contract negotiation and understanding legal implications.

Ownership & Governance:
● Demonstrated ownership of budget, scope, schedule, quality, team development, customer relations, and account growth.
● Strong crisis management and escalation handling experience.
● Data-driven planning, reporting, and performance management.

Methodologies & Tools:
● Solid knowledge of PMI-based project management practices.
● Practical experience with Scrum and Kanban.
● Experience with scaled frameworks is a plus.
● Strong analytical and structured thinking.

Leadership & Communication:
● “Playing coach” leadership style.
● High level of accountability and urgency.
● Transparent and rational decision-making approach.
● Advanced English proficiency.

Education:
● Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
● MBA, MSc in Technology Management, or relevant certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, etc.) are a plus.

Responsibilities:


● Own and manage a business unit portfolio to achieve P&L targets.
● Lead and develop a team of Project Managers.
● Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery across all engagements.
● Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring architectural and delivery decisions align with business goals.
● Collaborate with technical leadership to ensure appropriate technical and procedural standards.
● Drive presale and upsell activities within the portfolio.
● Oversee governance, risk management, and crisis resolution.
● Coordinate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Sales, Legal, Recruitment).
● Contribute to capability development within the unit and the company.
